bird, bat, owl & duck houses, hummingbird, bluebird, oriole feeders, looker prod

Bring a variety of natures songs to your backyard by offering different types of seed.
  • Nyjer Thistle Seed
  • Sunflower Seed
  • Cracked Corn
  • Meal worms
  • Safflower Seed
  • And of course some sweet nectar for you hummingbirds and orioles!

At Barn in the Sticks, we have quality, American Made bird feeders to work with all kinds of bird seed.

Trying to get rid of some pests in your backyard?  Try one of these solutions:

  • Bat Boxes or Houses will help tame your yard from mosquitoes.  Some of our boxes hold hundreds of bats!
  • Use a bee and wasp proof hummingbird feeder to keep the hummingbird nectar for for the hummingbird and keep those stinging pests out of your yard.
  • Add a Nectar Protector or ant moat to your nectar feeders so ants cross from your hanging hook into the feeder.

My favorite hummingbird feeder.  The kit is available also, which includes an ant moat, cleaning brush, and nectar packet to get you started.

You can attract up to 100 Mosquito eating bats with this single chambered bat house made by Looker Products in Illinois!

Here's a picture from a happy customer!  This Bullock's Oriole was a visitor in New York State this past winter, shown here eating from a Looker Products Oriole Buffet.

This little moat fits between your hummingbird feeder and the hanging hook, making it impossible for ants to reach your hummingbird or oriole bird feeder!

Quick Tips:

  • An easy recipe for hummingbird nectar is four parts water to one part sugar.  Just regular granular sugar.  Heat the water to boiling, add the sugar, then cool before adding to your feeders.
  • Use a mealworm feeder like Looker's Bluebird and Chickadee feeder, to feed Bluebirds without giving away the mealworms to other, larger birds!
  • Plant a variety of berry producing plants for your feathered friends.
  • Use a tray under a tube feeder to help catch wasted seed, most of the tubes have a 1" threaded hole at the bottom to accept almost any base, or pole mount.
