Barn in the Sticks is a small family owned and operated online retail company in Southern Wisconsin, just south of Madison. 

Our focus is on wildlife habitat that is durable, rugged, functional, and decorative.  Along with some of our own products, we offer products from Droll Yankees, Looker Products, Woodlink, Aspects, Songbird Cedar, Songbird Essentials and Heartwood.  All of these companies build a top of the line product with materials that will withstand the elements to last for years. 

I have been involved in helping wildlife habitat since I was very young, helping release pheasants for the local Rod & Gun Club, helping my father set up wood duck houses, plant trees and bushes, and putting up bluebird houses.  When my brothers and I were young, every winter we would go out and clean out the wood duck houses, so the following spring we could watch the ducklings on the pond.

Barn in the Sticks is my attempt to turn my hobby into a business.  My daughters also enjoy putting up and building the feeders and houses and seeing what lives in them.  You will find that the majority of my products are made in the U.S.A. 

Our vendors share the same love for habitat that I have, which helps them come up with solutions to everyday birding problems, like Woodlink and their unique mesh bottom hopper feeders that keeps the seed dry, Looker Products and their slotted bluebird house which sparrows will shy away from and bat houses built to the Organization for Bat Conservation specification.  Droll Yankees and their bee-proof, ant proof line of hummingbird feeders and Heartwood and their mahogany and cypress wood that isn't taking away from the birds' natural habitat.

I am having the time of my life evolving the Barn in the Sticks, each and every day I learn more about birds, bats, habitat, and people. 

We will not have an unhappy customer.
