The Barrington Purple Martin House
|
Purple Martins are great little insect eaters. They live in colonies, and generally like to be up high- usually 15 feet off the ground. Holes for a purple martin house should be 2-1/4" in diameter.
Martins feast on flying insects and flying spiders. They live in colonies with up to 100 compartments. They will also nest in clusters of gourds.
