Bat Excluder
An example of a vertical mount bat excluder
Bat Excluder
This bat excluder is made in the USA by Barn in the Sticks.  It features wood construction and is painted white to match most trim.  It is a temporary item, you use it during eviction and then remove it.  We suggest also purchasing or making a bat house to use along with the bat excluder, this will keep your mosquito eating friends nearby...just not in the same building in which you live.

If you have a special situation, like a corner where they are exiting, send us a picture, and we'd be happy to quote you a custom bat excluder to meet your needs.

The bat excluder is made using plywood and PVC pipe.  We offer two types of bat excluders, one for a horizontal mount, and one for a vertical mount.  To find out which one you need, watch the bats exit your home at dusk, and look at the pictures, keeping in mind that you want the PVC pipe facing directly down towards the ground.  Bats will be able to exit your home, but not be able to re-enter.

Do NOT use the excluder during the months of June, July, August, September, October or the first two weeks of November, you want to be certain the bats have no young to leave behind to die.

Horizonal Mounted Bat Excluder

This horizonal mount bat excluder is designed for installation on a soffit or similar horizonal fixture.  It is made by Barn in the Sticks, in the USA.

First, you must make the decision to keep these beneficial animals in your neighborhood, by installing a bat house or bat box.  You'll want to place it as close to the bat excluder as possible, for them to easily find it.

This bat excluder comes with instructions, which are also available by clicking on the details icon to your right.

Vertical Mount Bat Excluder

This vertical mount bat excluder is designed to fit on the side of your house, or on a gabriel end of your house, near the peak.
The bat excluder comes with full instructions on how to use.  One of the first things you will learn, is getting rid of your mosquito eating guests...will lead to more mosquitoes and other night-time insects in your yard, so while you are looking at getting rid of them, you may also want to look into bat houses, to keep them in the neighborhood...just not in your house or building.
