Pole Mount Squirrel Baffle

Another way to protect a feeder on a pole is to use a baffle below the feeder.  Make sure to have the baffle at least 2 feet above the ground, othewise they will simply hop over the baffle and up to your feeder.
This squirrel baffle fits between a 1/2" to 1-1/4" pole.  Simply install it below your feeder to keep the pesty squirrels out of your bird seed.  Make sure you have nothing directly above the feeder as well, they are acrobats, and would not hesitate to jump from a tree above your feeder to get to your food!
