Pole Mount Squirrel Baffle
Another way to protect a feeder on a pole is to use a baffle below the feeder. Make sure to have the baffle at least 2 feet above the ground, othewise they will simply hop over the baffle and up to your feeder.
This squirrel baffle fits between a 1/2" to 1-1/4" pole. Simply install it below your feeder to keep the pesty squirrels out of your bird seed.
