Reclaimed Wood Bluebird Slot Entrance Bluebird House

If you have problems with sparrows in your bluebird houses or nesting boxes, try a slot-style bluebird house.  While house sparrows have no problem using a bluebird house with a 1-1/2 inch entrance hole, they generally will not use a slot style bluebird nesting box, while the Eastern Bluebird will.  This bluebird nesting box is made using reclaimed Wyoming snow fence.  Every 25 years, parts of the snow fence are torn down and rebuilt using new wood.  Barn in the Sticks was able to get some of this wood to make some unique nesting boxes offered here at BarnintheSticks.com.
